Woodside Pop Up Event 15.2.14

Here we are, back with another special post straight from the front lines!

This time we were in Woodside for the Creative Communities pop up event, and let me tell you we didn't even have the chance to breathe! The room was packed with eager participants and knowledgeable volunteers, and they all did excellently!

Firstly our Cultivatees had the wonderful job of setting everything up, including the stuff for their own planned activities - maps, active listening, and collage making.

But the real fun (or rather, work!) begins when the participants begin to turn up. Anyone is free to pop in to the Creative Communities events, regardless of who they are or how much experience they have. The result is a very diverse set of participants, which means you can never really know how an event is going to go. This particular event was a really busy one, but all our volunteers handled things excellently, as you can see from the photos.

Big thanks to the guys for coming along and being such a help - with all those participants it would have been a struggle without you! And, from evaluation gathered after this event, it seems like the group's confidence at working in the community has grown since this fast-paced event.

And that's it! We'll be back soon with more 'live volunteering' posts, as well as keeping you up-to-date with all the Tuesday shenanigans.

See you soon!
